Yesterday young women leader Ruxandra from the YWCA of Romania addressed 80+ Heads of State and Government at United Nations Headquarters calling on them to commit to giving young women and girls everywhere access to better education, education, health and economic opportunities. Discursul a fost apreciat si de domnul Președinte Klaus Iohannis.

O româncă a vorbit la ONU Preşedintele Klaus Iohannis a declarat, la al doilea summit la care a participat ieri la ONU, faptul că România susţine egalitatea de gen şi este angajată în promovarea tuturor drepturilor femeilor. "România susţine egalitatea de gen şi va continua sa fie pe deplin angajată în protejarea şi promovarea tuturor drepturilor femeilor", a spus şeful statului în cadrul Reuniunii mondiale a liderilor privind realizarea egalităţii de gen şi capacitarea femeilor. El a declarat că este mândru că românca Ruxandra Diaconescu a fost aleasă să vorbească în deschiderea acestei sesiuni.
